Terms of Use — ASVAB Coach

By downloading, installing, or using ASVAB Coach, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License to use

ASVAB Coach grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms governing App Store purchases.

This license is contingent on payment of the one-time in-app purchase ($4.99, after the 7-day free trial) or being within the free-trial period.

2. Educational purpose · No affiliation · No guarantees

ASVAB Coach is an independent educational tool.

• We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force, or any official ASVAB testing authority.
• ASVAB® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Defense. Our use of the term is purely for educational purposes (nominative fair use to describe what test the app prepares users for).
• We do not guarantee that using ASVAB Coach will result in passing the ASVAB exam, qualifying for any specific military branch, qualifying for any specific MOS/rating, or any other outcome. Your performance on the actual ASVAB depends on many factors outside our control, including your effort, prior education, test-day conditions, and current DoD policy.
• Practice questions in the app are modeled after ASVAB question formats but are not actual exam questions. The official ASVAB is administered by the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) using questions from the DoD-controlled item bank.

3. AI-generated content (Apple Intelligence)

ASVAB Coach uses Apple Intelligence (FoundationModels) to generate adaptive explanations and step-by-step math solutions on your device.

AI-generated content may occasionally:

• Be inaccurate or incomplete
• Differ from the “official” explanation shown in the same question
• Reflect the limitations of a small on-device language model

Treat AI explanations as a supplementary study tool, not as authoritative. The hand-curated “official” explanation in each question is the ground truth. If an AI explanation seems wrong or contradicts the official explanation, trust the official one.

We apply a TutorSafety wrapper to all AI output that rejects responses violating safety constraints, but no automated filter is perfect.

4. Branch-specific scores (AFQT minimums)

ASVAB Coach displays minimum AFQT score requirements per military branch (e.g., “Army: 31, Marines: 32, Space Force: 60”). These reflect current DoD policy as of the app’s last update.

• DoD policy on minimum AFQT scores changes periodically. We update the app quarterly to track changes, but there may be a lag between a policy change and our update.
• The displayed minimums are baseline requirements. Specific jobs (MOS/rating) within each branch have their own additional score requirements (line scores) that may be higher.
• Always verify current requirements with an official recruiter of your chosen branch before making enlistment decisions based on app data.

5. Free trial and purchase

• New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.
• Day 5 and day 6 of the trial trigger local notifications (no surprise charges).
• After the trial, full access requires a one-time purchase of $4.99 (or local equivalent set by Apple).
• The purchase is a non-consumable in-app purchase — once bought, it persists for the same Apple ID forever, restorable via the “Restore Purchase” button.
• No subscription. No auto-renewal. No “free trial that converts at midnight day 6” pattern.

Refunds are governed entirely by Apple — request them through your App Store purchase history. We have no ability to grant or deny refunds directly because we do not process payments.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use ASVAB Coach for personal, lawful educational purposes only. You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the app
• Extract the question bank for redistribution
• Use any automated system to scrape, mine, or extract data from the app
• Bypass the trial gate or purchase verification (e.g., by jailbreak, app modification, or fraudulent IAP receipts)
• Use the app in any way that violates Apple’s App Store policies

Attempts to circumvent the trial or IAP verification trigger our Transaction.currentEntitlements check + revocationDate honoring + Keychain-backed firstLaunchDate (anti-uninstall-reset). Detected fraud results in access revocation and is reported to Apple.

7. Intellectual property

• ASVAB® is a trademark of the U.S. Department of Defense, used nominatively
• Branch insignia, military terminology, and any official seal references are property of the respective branches, used for descriptive purposes only
• Apple, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Intelligence, App Store, and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc.

8. No warranty · Limitation of liability

ASVAB Coach is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KhassinX and Abraham K. Alonso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Failure to achieve a target AFQT score
• Inability to enlist in a desired branch or MOS
• Lost study time or other personal time
• Device damage attributed to the app
• Loss of data (your data lives in your iCloud — we have no copy to lose or to provide)

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of ASVAB Coach is limited to the amount you paid for the app ($4.99 USD or local equivalent), or $0 if you are within the free trial.

9. Termination

We may discontinue or modify ASVAB Coach at any time without notice. If the app is removed from the App Store entirely, you retain the right to keep using your existing installed copy on your existing device(s) for as long as Apple continues to permit (per Apple Media Services Terms). We are not obligated to provide refunds for an app you purchased that was subsequently removed from sale.

You may stop using ASVAB Coach at any time by deleting the app from your device.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when:

• Adding new features that materially change the experience
• Reflecting changes in Apple App Store policies
• Reflecting changes in DoD ASVAB policies that affect app content
• Correcting legal or factual errors

Material changes will be reflected with a new “Effective date” at the top. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

• Disputes shall be resolved in Hillsborough County, Florida
• Both parties waive the right to a jury trial for any dispute
• You agree to attempt informal resolution by emailing hello@khassinx.com before pursuing formal legal action

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

4. Mínimos AFQT por rama

Los mínimos AFQT mostrados reflejan política DoD vigente. La política cambia periódicamente. Siempre verifica requisitos actuales con un reclutador oficial antes de tomar decisiones de alistamiento.

5. Prueba gratuita y compra

• 7 días de prueba gratuita con acceso completo.
• Día 5 y 6 disparan notificaciones locales (sin cargos sorpresa).
• Acceso completo después: pago único $4.99 (o equivalente local).
• Sin suscripciones. Sin renovación automática.

Reembolsos los maneja Apple directamente.

6. Uso aceptable

No puedes:

• Hacer reverse-engineering, decompilar, o derivar código

Responsabilidad total acumulada limitada al monto que pagaste por la app ($4.99 USD o equivalente local), o $0 si estás en trial.

9. Terminación

Podemos discontinuar la app en cualquier momento sin aviso. Puedes dejar de usarla borrándola de tu dispositivo.

10. Cambios a estos términos

Actualizaciones materiales se reflejan con nueva “Fecha efectiva” arriba. Uso continuado después de un cambio constituye aceptación.

11. Ley aplicable y disputas

Estos términos se rigen por las leyes del Estado de Florida, EE.UU. Disputas se resuelven en Hillsborough County, Florida. Ambas partes renuncian al juicio por jurado.
